Greg Lamarche (SP.ONE)

Queens-born artist Greg Lamarche fuses New York City’s energy with graffiti’s bold visual language. His intricate collages, crafted from vintage printed materials, explore typography, abstraction, and movement, balancing graphic design with fine art aesthetics.

Lamarche began writing graffiti and making collages in the early 1980s. He published the influential graffiti magazine Skills (1992–95) before shifting to fine art, graphic design, and illustration in 1999. His work has been exhibited globally, with murals in cities like New York, Boston, Philadelphia, Venice, and London. Featured in Juxtapoz, Print Magazine, The New York Times, and books such as The History of American Graffiti, his art also extends to collaborations with WeWork, IBM, Converse, Facebook, J.Crew, Shake Shack, and Nike.

In 2019, Lamarche presented All Good Things, a 20-year survey at Simmons University’s Trustman Gallery, with a catalog essay by Paul Laster. Recent exhibitions include Track Work: 100 Years of the New York City Subway at ACA Galleries and the inaugural show at the Museum of Graffiti in Miami.
